The Amstel Electric Adjustable Split/Dividing Bed is a practical and elegant solution for couples where one person requires extra care or assistance. Crafted from rich, dark wood, the bed brings a traditional feel to any modern Irish home — and it's completely unique in Ireland.

This innovative design allows the bed to split in two, providing full access for carers on both sides of the mattress — something not possible with standard adjustable beds. Once care is no longer needed, the bed can be easily joined together again, allowing couples to continue sleeping side-by-side in comfort.

Available in King (5ft 3in), Super King (6ft), and Extra Large (6ft 6in), each Amstel bed includes two electric mechanisms, two mattresses, and two easy-to-use remotes for independent movement. It also includes a handmade Irish orthopaedic mattress as standard, with options for Soft to Medium or Firm support.

You can even choose a Vertical-Lift Mechanism on one or both sides — perfect for those who need regular support from a carer. The entire system is built in Germany, offering strength, safety, and long-term peace of mind.

What makes this bed different from a standard adjustable bed?

It splits in two, allowing carers to access both sides of the mattress — ideal for home nursing. Then it joins again for shared sleeping.

Can both sides be controlled separately?

Yes. Each side has its own motor and remote control for independent movement.

Is the mattress included?

Yes. Each bed includes a Dream-Cloud Luxury Orthopaedic Mattress, made in Ireland. You can choose from Soft to Medium or Firm.

Can I add a vertical-lift feature later?

Yes. It can be fitted at a later stage, either on one or both sides, depending on your needs.

What if space is tight in the room?

We can build the bed with one side 90cm and the other 80cm wide for tighter spaces.

Is the bed suitable for heavier users?

Yes, the standard bed holds up to 120kg per side, and we offer a reinforced version for up to 150kg.

Do you deliver and install?

Yes, nationwide delivery and full setup are free of charge, and we’ll also remove your old bed and mattress if needed.

Can I claim a VAT refund?
